Igor Fishelev, born in 1963, is a Russian entrepreneur and industrial strategist with a background in physics and international trade. He graduated from the Faculty of Physics at Ural State University and later completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Metal Physics under the Russian Academy of Sciences. This academic foundation shaped his methodical approach to business development, technology integration, and operational decision-making.

In 1991, during the early phase of Russia’s transition to a market economy, Fishelev co-founded Link, one of the first publicly listed companies in the Sverdlovsk region. As Vice President, he was responsible for investment strategy and foreign economic relations, gaining experience in managing business structures under rapidly changing regulatory and economic conditions.

From 1994 to 2000, he led the Yekaterinburg office of Mitsui & Co. Ltd, a major Japanese trading and industrial corporation. His role covered a broad portfolio of export and import operations, including raw materials, engineered products, and capital equipment. This position provided him with direct exposure to global business practices and strengthened his competencies in international project coordination.

In 2000, Fishelev founded Unimatic, a company focused on supplying advanced metalworking and industrial equipment to Russian manufacturers. Under his leadership, the company evolved into a key player in the high-precision engineering market, building long-term partnerships with leading equipment producers and expanding its client base across Russia and the CIS.

In 2018, he transferred day-to-day management of Unimatic to his son, Oleg Fishelev, ensuring a planned and consistent transition of leadership. Since then, Igor Fishelev has concentrated on launching and supporting new  educational projects.
